Some amazing visuals from The Atlantic Cities in their article “A Mapped History of Train Travel in the United States”.  Hard to imagine riding on a train for weeks to get from Indiana to the Gulf Coast.  On the other hand, it  is pretty cool how folks were able to travel by train and that it doesn’t hardly exist anymore.
