When I first saw this article I was skeptical at best because historically Yelp has had some data quality issues. To see if this studies applies to the local hospitals in my area the results were as follows:
- for the top 10 hospitals there were only a total of 41 reviews with one hospital having 9 reviews.
For the hospitals in Indiana, this study and results from Yelp cannot be used to correlate any type of hospital outcomes.
