As healthcare systems continue to implement the requirements to meet meaningful use under Obamacare there will be a push to keep patients out of the hospital.  One way in which that will be done is through remote monitoring of patients.  The thinking is if healthcare systems can monitor patients activities through technology then they can prevent major health issues from occurring.  The companies in the attached link are hoping that solutions like theirs will be used for the patient monitoring.  The outstanding questions on these technologies are:

2. How will the data be transmitted from rural areas?
3. How will the data be kept secure?
4. Who will be responsible for supporting these devices?
