The title of the attached article provides the impression that the iPad as a device is no designed to work efficiently in the medical space.  Anyone that works in the medical IT space can confirm that the interface design of most EMRs is still circa early-mid 1990’s.  Even the mobile efforts by some major EMR vendors has serious limitations and will not allow the physician to perform all the necessary CPOE related tasks during a physician interaction.  Hospitals need to be pressuring EMR vendor’s to provide up to date and relevant designed interface.
